The aim was to create a full day programme at Hobie Beach for the whole Family.

In the past the Celebrations only kicked-off at around 16h00 on the last day of the year.

What was achieved was a full Daily Programme of events that involved the whole Family, which started at 08h00 with Beach Activities, culminating in a dynamic Pyrotechnic display followed by activities on Stage by different Artists.

As can be seen the Daily Schedule had a number of new activities introduced namely: Sand Castle Competition, Mother & Father 8.5km run, Family of 4 Swim, Volley Ball plus a dramatic Surf sea rescue.

The introduction of selected Vendors and Food Stalls in different areas was highly successful - a totally clear car park, adjacent to the Yacht club, affording ample space for a crowd to move around and shop and later to view the stage.
